On auction is Dunhuang's Aged Rosewood guzheng with Chinese Painting and Calligraphy that was made to celebrate the 50th year anniversary of Master Xu Zhengao in the industry.

This guzheng is special made under the supervision of Master Xu himself. Master Xu endorsed under the soundboard inside the middle sound hole.
The guzheng is made with all the best materials available in the market. The frame is made with aged rosewood that provide a sweet and rich tone. The soundboard and bottom board are made with best grade boards that provide rich and clear sounding.

There is also short video clip taken by my friend Heng Niang, the forum host of www.qinzheng.org. In this video clip, she interviewed the factory manger of Shanghai #1 Folk Instrument Factory who introduced the background of this guzheng. He also introduced the famous Shanghainese artist who painted the guzheng. The guzheng on auction is the one that's celebrating 50th year anniversary of Master Xu in making guzheng. It's not the one that's celebrating the 100 years birthday of Master Xu's teacher.

Great! I really enjoyed the video, I actually feel in love right away with the 100 years birthday of Master Xu's teacher gu zheng, with all the caligraphy! I'm very drawn to scroll style caligraphy these days on an instrument. Many years ago I would go for flower motif though!

It's a shame I don't have the opportunity to see this instrument in person. I am in LOVE with the design. So pretty. I am very jealous of the one who purchases it!
