Los Angeles Chinese Orchestra, formerly known as Chinese Classical
Music Ensemble, is incorporated and granted its non-profit 501(c)(3)
status. The mission of Los Angeles Chinese Orchestra is to share,
preserve and advance a living tradition of Chinese music, to explore the
new Chinese-American music integrating Chines and world music, to
contribute to the artistic variety and quality of life of the community, and
to promote cross-cultural understanding and harmony in the community
through excellent artistic performances of Chinese music and
contemporary Chinese-influenced world music.
