“Guzheng vs. Electronic Music” Concert will be held on Oct. 22

Guzheng fans in Canton will have the chance to see this new image of
guzheng concert.  Famous guzheng player Wu Li will present this
“Butterfly, Blue, Guzheng vs. Electronic Music” Concert on the night of
October 22 at Hisn-Hai Music Hall.  In this concert, Wu Li will play
guzheng accompanying by electronic music.  


The first part of this concert will include two traditional pieces and two
contemporary pieces “Layers of Water” and “Clear as Crystal” written
by Wu Li’s husband Tao Yibai.  The second part of the concert, Mr. Tao
Yibai and D.J. Ding Manjiang will work on the electronic music to
accompany the guzheng.  This brings a whole new view for all guzheng
lovers.


Wu Li is a famous young guzheng virtuoso and a double gold-prize
winner of the domestic and international guzheng competitions.  
Meanwhile she is a member of the Guzheng committee of the Chinese
Musician Association and a master of guzheng from Central
Conservatory of Music.  Now she is a teacher of the Folk Music
Department of the Xing-Hai Conservatory in Guangzhou.
