This beautiful instrument is made with elite grade paulownia soundboards. The top and the bottom of the sound boards are both made by paulownia that were dried using special Shanghai method that provides the famous classical sweet tone of the guzheng. The frame is made by Indian rosewood (zitan).
This model is a co-brand model with Shanghai Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It is decorated with the caligraphy of Wang Xizhi and the painting "Iris" of Vincent van Gogh. The two blends together into a beautiful art piece, when east meats west.
The bridges and strings are fine-tuned and adjusted by Sound of China professional to ensure the best sound quality.
