News: PCC Chinese Music Ensemble Spring Concert 05/22

Pasadena City College will present the PCC Chinese Music Ensemble’s spring concert on Thursday, May 22, at 7:00 PM at the college’s Westerbeck Recital Hall. The Los Angeles Sound of China Guzheng Ensemble has also been invited to perform. The program will include pieces such as Fengyang Flower Drum, A Man Should Better Himself, Little Cowherd, Fantasy on The Longest Day in Chang’an, I Wish to Be a Little Swallow, Dreaming of Qiong Yao, and Rhapsody, among others. The PCC Chinese Music Ensemble consists of nearly twenty members who perform classic works on traditional Chinese instruments such as the erhu, yangqin, guzheng, pipa, dizi, and suona. Their passionate and dynamic performances consistently receive enthusiastic responses from audiences.

The concert begins at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 22. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Please purchase tickets through Eventbrite.
